The MacNab Challenge

The challenge is to shoot a free-ranging buck, catch a game fish and bag a brace of game birds all in one day during legal shooting light, all taken ethically and in the spirit of the sport - this is the challenge of the MacNab hunt.

The MacNab is a Scottish tradition and dates back to 1925.

The Hellspoort MacNab

Hellspoort created its own MacNab tradition, bag an Impala ram, catch a fish in the Great Fish River that borders the property and shoot as many Rock Pigeons with ten shotgun shells.

Hellspoort hosts the MacNab for corporate companies and groups which entail a welcoming ceremony with all hunters dressed in kilts.

The MacNab competition ends with a price giving and formal dinner ceremony on the banks of the Great Fish River.
